Hoops: Ashworth girls fall to Adairsville

The Ashworth Lady Warriors completed their regular season on Thursday at home against Adairsville. Ashworth’s Varsity fell to Adairsville 34-13. Taylor Thomas led the scoring with five points, followed by Megan Campbell with four points. Ashley Mulkey contributed with two points, and Sadie Richardson and Becky Worsham each had one free throw.

The J.V. Lady Warriors were defeated by Adairsville 31-13. Cailey Martin and Ashlyn Kelly scored four points each, followed by Peyton Robinson and Kayla Peek with two points apiece. Baylee Blaylock rounded off the scoring with one point.

Both the J.V. and Varsity will compete next week in the BGMSAA Region Tournament, hosted by Woodland Middle School at Euharlee. Game times and dates will be determined upon the completion of total region standings.
