Calhoun council will hear quarterly governmental financial reports tonight

Calhoun City Council will meet tonight, Monday, at 7 p.m. at the Calhoun Depot. There will be no noon work session.

Council will:

* Hear quarterly financial reports for utilities and general government.

* Review general government amendments.

* Review an upcoming public hearing, scheduled for Feb. 14, for an annexation and zoning request of R-1 by Andrea Holland for a property at 156 Little Pine Drive in Calhoun.

* Hear a request from Gordon Hospital to be allowed to host "Run For Your Life 5K" through the city.

Why in the world would the council even consider trying to enforce a no smoking policy in the alley's of Calhoun. How much would it cost to enforce it.

We can't park in front of the buildings we own without geting a ticket and now we can't smoke behind them.

Maybe we shoulld move out of downtown!!!!
