ATLANTA (AP)-- Georgia's new Republican attorney general says he's signed on to a lawsuit against President Barack Obama's health care overhaul after his predecessor, a Democrat, refused to do so last year.

Sam Olens said Tuesday afternoon that he's joining the governor's office in supporting the case challenging the constitutionality of the 2010 federal law. So far, 26 states have joined the lawsuit.

Former Georgia Attorney General Thurbert Baker wouldn't join the lawsuit filed last year in Florida. Former Georgia Gov. Sonny Perdue, a Republican, hired outside counsel working without pay to sue on behalf of the state.

Olens says his office will take over the case but the private attorneys will continue to assist him with the lawsuit.

I am so glad (sarcasm) that he is looking out for the State's best interest. HA HA HA.
