The varsity fell to Trion 41-23. Leading scorers included Megan Campbell with 10 points and Taylor Thomas with 9 points. T’ea Williams followed with one basket, and Sadie Richardson and Becky Worsham sank one free throw each.
Ashworth’s J.V. grasped their second win of the season against Trion, winning 35-22. Leanna Mulkey led the scoring drive with 9 points, followed by Kayla Peek with 8 points. Madison Cloer, Baylee Blaylock, and Ashlyn Kelly each contributed four points to the tally, while Samantha Turner, Kayla Dobson, and Teagan Lovingood scored one basket apiece.
The Ashworth Lady Warriors will face Calhoun on Monday, December 13 at Calhoun, and Cartersville on Thursday, December 16 at Cartersville.
