Sonoraville High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) students recently attended the Fall Leader-ship Campaign and came home with many awards.

During the conference, Sonoraville was awarded the 100 Member Club Award, for having more than 100 members.

FBLA members also received the membership achievement award, which recognized the club for meeting their membership goal last year.

In addition, Sonoraville’s chapter took home second place for their efforts in helping with the Operation October campaign.

The Sonoraville chapter was one of six chapters through-out the state recognized for this award, said school officials.

The conference took place in Athens, Ga., Nov. 12-13

Attending the conference were three club officers: Kayla Carter, president; Brook Campbell, secretary; Andrea Shiney, reporter; and club member Lauren Hendrix.

Also in attendance was Mrs. Lisa Smith, club advisor. The students attended workshops in business related subjects.

The students also donated a scholarship basket enabling seniors of Sonoraville’s FBLA to apply for college scholar-ships.
