This special award was created by members of the hospital’s Employee Engagement Committee to recognize employees who go above and beyond the call of duty on a regular basis. It is awarded monthly to a deserving employee selected by the hospital’s directors.
“Henry is a terrific asset to the Gordon Hospital Team,” said Tony Shadix, director of facilities. “Whether he’s doing his regular job of keeping our hospital look its best or painting special projects for us, Henry consistently goes the extra mile. We are very fortunate to have his talents at Gordon Hospital.”
Conner has been employed by Gordon Hospital for six years, and he also worked for four years as a contractor. He received an architectural drafting certificate from Chattahoochee Tech and has completed various seminars.
“I’m very appreciative of this award,” Conner said. “I enjoy being creative and producing high-quality finishes to beautify our hospital. I love my Gordon Hospital family and I thank you all.”
Conner and his wife, Jan, reside in Calhoun. Between them, they have four children and five grandchildren. His hobbies and interests include being an artist and woodworker and being active at his church, North Rome Church of God, where he serves as Usher Captain.
