This past Friday night prior to the football game long time local band director Michael Clark and assistant band director Larry Brown were honored by the Calhoun High School Band Boosters for their dedication in leading the Calhoun High School Marching Band.

Both Clark and Brown are committed to making sure the band receives superior ratings at graded performances and that the community can count on the band to play and perform to perfection on Friday nights.

Michael Clark And his wife, Charlie Clark, along with Larry Brown And his wife Amal Brown will now forever be a part of Phil Reeve Stadium in the area known as Jacket Pride Park.

The Band Boosters purchased engraved pavers for each of the two longtime band patriarchs and their spouses from the Calhoun Touchdown Club.

The TD Club recently renovated the area in the northwest corner of Phil Reeve Stadium to allow Jackets fans to be part of the Calhoun tradition by purchasing engraved pavers such as the ones pictured above.

Both the Touchdown Club and the Band Boosters salute Clark and Brown for their years of dedicated service.

TD Club member Terry Brumlow said anyone who would like to be part of Jacket Pride Park can contact him at his office on Curtis Parkway or e-mail Barry Spector at brrypoolman@AOL.com or visit the Touchdown Club on Facebook.
