Firefighters visit CPS

Firefighters with the Calhoun Fire Department recently visited students at Calhoun Primary School as part of “Fire Safety Week.” Students were able to learn about safety and prevention tips regarding fires, developing an evacuation plan at home and were allowed to try on the firefighter clothes and handle equipment. Pictured is Mrs. Witmer’s kindergarten class with the firefighters after touring the fire truck.

SHS freshmen pledge to graduate

Sonoraville High School’s freshmen recently participated in a graduation pledge ceremony.  The event, sponsored by Josten’s, is held annually to reinforce the importance of high school graduation and gain individual commitment, with each student signing a banner to signify their pledge and desire to graduate.  Each class carries this same banner to their graduation ceremony at the end of their high school career.
