Bicyclists were seen traveling throughout Gordon County and Northwest Georgia for the first ever 40, 60 and 100 mile Gran Fondo race on Oct. 24. The Gran Fondo is a mass cycling event that is popular in Europe and has come to the South-eastern United States for the first time. Cyclists from Cycle Therapy head out from Plainville in Gordon County with others who were participating in the event. The event ended at State Mutual Stadium in Rome. KARISSA STEWART/Staff
