Sarah Hinton McMennamy, 92, of Rydal, Ga. died Tuesday, December 25, 2012.

Funeral Services were held 11 a.m. Saturday, December 29 at Bartow Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Cartersville with Rev. Mark Rackley officiating. Interment was in McMennamy Family Cemetery.

Mrs. McMennamy was born in Decatur, Ill. and has lived in the Atlanta area since 1950. She lived in Gordon County for 41 years. Mrs. McMennamy was a former member of First Presbyterian Church of Marietta where she also taught Sunday School. She was a longtime member of Bartow Cumberland Presbyterian Church and past president of the Women of The Church for Cherokee Presbyterian.

Survivors include one son, John McMennamy and his wife, Judy B. of Kennesaw; one granddaughter, Suznne M. Morano and her husband, Marco of London, England; two grandsons, Scott A. McMennamy and his wife, Shelby of Greensboro, N.C., J. Stephen McMennamy and his wife, Lisa of Atlanta; four great grandchildren, Amelia Katherine Huckaby, David Hugh Huckaby, Jr., Annabelle Rose McMennamy, Isla Menza McMennamy; preceded in death by her husband, Dale K. McMennamy.
