Ruth was the widow of Ed Logan, who preceded her in death in 2004. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Danny Logan, in 2003, and Sammy Logan, in 2004; two brothers, Marvin Parker, in 2004, and Jerry Parker in 2012; and a sister, Mamie Jo Parker Pack. She was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church and a member of the Senior Adult Sunday School Class, She retired from Crown Craft. Ruth loved her Lord, her family, her church, and the Atlanta Braves.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth Logan, and his companion, Karen Mitchell of Calhoun; her daughter, Cynthia Nesbitt and her husband Kim of Calhoun; her grandchildren, Denise Moore, Tonya Logan, Amanda Logan, Jennifer Wilson, Jared Nesbitt, and Taylor Logan; her great-grandchildren, Sherrie Roman, Erica Piker, Samantha Tesak, Kadin Cloud, and Dylan Tesak; her brothers, Claude Parker, Jackie Parker, and Danny Parker, all of Calhoun; her sister, Brenda Clayton, of Cohutta; and by a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Ann Parker Logan were conducted Tuesday, December 11, at 11 a.m. from the Trinity Baptist Church, with Rev. Eddie Brannon officiating. Music was arranged by Howard Withrow, Greg Gallman, and Parham Hammontree. Interment followed in the Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers were Terry Hicks, Bud Owens, Johnny Grisham, and Johnny White. The Senior Adult Sunday School Class from Trinity Baptist Church served as honorary pallbearers.
The Logan family received friends Monday, December 10, from 6-9 p.m. at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
