Mr. Jamie Carnes, 37, of Adairsville, died Sunday, January 20, 2013 at his residence. A native of Bartow County, Jamie was born July 24, 1975 to Lareta Faye James Horner and James Morris Carnes, Sr.

Jamie was employed by Gerdau Ameristeel as a Lab Tech. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, playing golf, hunting and watching Georgia football.

He is survived by his wife, Jaina Cantrell Carnes of Adairsville; his mother and father, Faye and Tommy Horner of Cartersville; his daughters, Chelsey and Lindsey Carnes both of Adairsville; his step-daughters, Emilee Cantrell of Adairsville and Rebecca and Ben Coleman of Rome; his sister, Sonija Barton of Rome; his brothers and sister-in-law, Howard (Flywheel) Cowart and Len and Kelly Childers all of Cartersville; his granddaughter, Mackenzie Coleman of Rome; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, January 25, 2013 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Reverend Josh James officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. The family received friends from 5 – 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
