He was born in Detroit, Michigan, October 3, 1933, son of the late Samuel and Mable Linn. Mr. Linn had attended NorthPointe Church and had served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charles Linn and a sister, Nancy Neal. Survivors include his wife, Betty Sue Bell Linn of Adairsville; 2 sons and daughter- in-law, Timothy Ray and Coleen Linn of White and Mark J. Linn of Adairsville; a sister, Dorothy Sanders of Marietta; 3 grandsons, Adam Linn, Austin Linn, and Michael Linn and 2 great-grandchildren, Kyleigh Linn and Brantley Linn.
Funeral services were held Thursday, May 31, 2012, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Barton Funeral Home, Adairsville with Rev. Jim Pinkard and Rev. Billy Bell officiating. Interment followed in Lewis-Linn Cemetery, Adairsville.
Pallbearers included Adam Linn, Austin Linn, Michael Linn, David Bell, Bruce Baron, and Anders Beft. Honorary pallbearer was Mike Ward.
The family received friends at Barton Funeral Home, Wednesday evening from 6-9 p.m.
