Edward was born on March 26, 1924 in Detroit, Mich. Son of the late Michael Fitz and Blanche Krzak Fitz. He was of the Catholic faith and served in the United States Army during WWII. Prior to retirement he was employed by Kayo Petroleum. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne McDaniel Fitz.
Survivors include; One son, Michael Fitz. Two step-daughters, Anne Gentry and Nancy McDaniel Corley. Three grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral Services were conducted on Tuesday, May 15th at 4 p.m. from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with the Reverend Ross Tipps officiating. Burial followed in Fain Cemetery.
The family received friends on Monday, May 14th from 5 – 7p.m. at the funeral home.
