He was preceded in death by his parents, W.J. and Nettie Locke; sisters, Ruby Kate Brindle, Essie Mae Jones, Bessie Bradley, Betty Jo Staten; brothers, Beecher, William, Clyde, Richard, and Winston Locke.
He is survived by his daughter, Dana Locke of Columbus; son and daughter-in-law, David G. & Celina Locke of Calhoun; four sisters, Sally Neal of Dalton, Dixie England, Ethlene Barnes and Louise Lingerfelt, all of Chatsworth; one granddaughter, Mollie Locke of Calhoun.
The funeral was Thursday, September 13, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Brent Davis officiating.
The family received friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 – 9 p.m.
