The Gordon County Parks and Recreation Department was busy for the second straight weekend as they hosted the 13-year-old Dizzy Dean State Tournament at the Sonoraville Recreation Complex.
They previously hosted the 6-year-old Invitational Dizzy Dean State Tournament the week before.
The finals of the 13-year-old tournament were held on Monday night and the Cedartown Dogs were crowned champions after defeating the Eastside Tide, 16-0.
The lone local team in the eight-team tournament field, the Gordon County All-Stars, had a solid showing as they were one of the final three teams remaining before being eliminated by the Eastside Tide.
