Wrestling: SHS JV team places 2nd in North Ga. Rumble

The Sonoraville JV wrestling team finished second out of 13 teams at the North Georgia Rumble hosted at home over the weekend.

Sonoraville finished behind only powerhouse Gilmer. Rounding out the top-4 were Woodland, and Cass.

Jake Elliot placed (130-pounds) and Alex Detlefsen (215) led the Phoenix with first place finishes in the traditional format tourney.

Matt Charles (125), Dekota French (140), and Abel Diaz (189) each placed second.

Finishing third were Gage Burger (125), William Rickett (135), Jorge Vega (160), Jarrett Derryberry (171), Alex Hurtiz (215) and Cody Self (285).
