WEBS partner in education to teach broadcasting

Kevin Casey and WEBS 1030AM Radio has partnered with Calhoun City Schools to offer unique opportunities to students. Students from Calhoun Elementary School have had the opportunity to co host with Kevin and his crew on live radio broadcasts each semester. These students receive this reward as a result of the positive behavior program named EBIS. This program is a system wide initiative that is growing quickly in Calhoun Schools.

Casey is operations manager of WEBS. Kevin is the other half of the “Yawn Busters Morning Show.” He was born in Kansas City, Mo. and moved to Calhoun as a child. He began his broadcasting career at WEBS as a part time announcer. He worked at several other radio stations including: WRGA, WROM K-98 (WFCX) and KOFM in Okalahoma. He also worked in music in Nashville, Tenn.. He has been back at WEBS for several years. Tune in and wake up with Kevin on the Morning Show, Birthday Club and Quick Quiz from 6 to 10 a.m. every Monday through Friday on WEBS...1030 on the AM Dial.
