My prayers are with Mrs. Weathers and her family. I was at the wreck on Tuesday. It was awful. I kow of Mr. Weathers but didn't know him personally. Please get a redlight up very soon at this intersection...

I agree. That is a very dangerous intersection, I have lived off of Union Grove Church Road my whole life and remember deadly crashes that could have been prevented with a redlight. I am sure I'm not alone when I say that someone needs to do something about this. A father/brother/son/husband lost his life two days before Thanksgiving, his family are going to be without him this Holiday Season. How many more people are going to have to lose their lives before someone takes some of our tax payers money they have stashed away and decides to give us the redlight we need. I will keep Mr. Weathers family in my prayers. God Bless you & God Bless the other families that has lost a loved one at this intersection. I am sorry if I sound rude, by all means I truly don't mean to be, I just think someone should have done something about this by now.

There are a lot of wrecks at this intersection. The curve of the road, combined with no turning lane, and no traffic signal makes it a very dangerous spot. I have seen several really bad wrecks and here is another one described in this article. Why isn't Gordon Co and Georgia DOT doing anything to fix the problem ? How many more people have to die here before something is done ?
