According to a press release from the Gordon County Sheriffs office at approximately 6 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2012, deputy sheriffs were dispatched to a remote, rural area near the Ryo community in Gordon County in response to a report of the discovery of 2 bodies.

After being unable to make contact by telephone, a family member discovered the bodies of James Lee Asher, age 64, of 4208 Terrace Drive, Acworth, and David Wayne Johnson, age 50, of 53 Willow Bend, Cartersville, inside a camper/trailer on private hunting club lands. Fire/Rescue and Coroner's personnel responded to the scene as well. Investigating officials suspect carbon monoxide poisoning.

There is no reported evidence of foul play, according to the press release.

"This appears to have been a tragic accident, and our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the two victims.", said Sheriff Mitch Ralston.
