Witnesses told the Florida Highway Patrol that a white Lexus SUV headed north in the outside lane stopped suddenly, for an unknown reason, in front of a semi tractor-trailer.
An official said the truck driver took evasive action but hit the SUV in the rear, sending that vehicle into some woods. The truck stopped in the emergency lane.
