Gordon Home Care recently announced that Stacia Dickson, Gloria Holden, and Anita Russell were all recently inducted into the “Best of the Best Club.”

According to Tracy Farriba, RN, director of Gordon Home Care, membership into this special club is for reserved for Gordon Home Care employees who exhibit Gordon Hospital’s mission in providing the highest quality in patient care through their daily actions.

“We wanted a way to recognize our employees at Gordon Home Care for all that they do for our patients and our hospital,” Farriba said. “A Best of the Best Club is the perfect way to let them know how much we appreciate them.”

Dickson, a graduate of Bishop State in Mobile, Ala., serves as a physical therapy assistant for Gordon Home Care and has been employed by Gordon Hospital for two-and-a-half years. She and her husband, Vaughn, have a son, Ryder. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family.

“Stacia is great to work with and always goes the extra mile to help her team,” Farriba said.

Holden, who serves as office assistant for Gordon Home Care, has been employed by Gordon Hospital for two-and-a-half years. She and her husband, Terry, have been married for 14 years and they have a son, Bradley, and a daughter, Shanda. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and reading.

“I am very honored to receive this award,” Holden said. “Gordon Home Care is a great place to work and all of my co-workers are like family.”

Farriba added that Holden is very deserving of the honor.

“Gloria is very helpful to everyone in our office,” Farriba explained. “She takes pride in her job role in our office.”

This is the second time that Russell has been awarded a Best of the Best Club award. Russell, who serves as PI coordinator, received her LPN degree from Kaw Area Vo-Tech in Topeka, Kansas in 1975. After moving to Georgia in 1982 and taking a break from nursing for two years, she returned to school at Floyd College, where she earned her associate’s degree in nursing in 1987. She has been employed by Gordon Hospital for 16 years.

“I am honored to be recognized a second time for this award,” Russell said. “The staff at Gordon Home Care is an awesome group to work with.

Russell and her husband, Edward, reside in Calhoun, and have a daughter, Caitlin. In her spare time, Russell enjoys baseball, basketball, traveling, baking, and spending time with her family and friends.

“Anita’s willingness to help others at any given time is an asset to our staff,” Farriba said, “and her peers certainly recognize that.”
