Softball: CMS puts up 35 runs in three innings against South Central

Calhoun Middle School’s softball team crushed South Central on Monday, 35-0.

The Lady Jackets scored 10 runs in the first inning and added another 10 in the second. Calhoun topped off the scoring with a 15-run third inning.

The 35 runs were scored off 21 hits and four South Central errors.

Cassie Henderson picked up the victory for the Lady Jackets. She threw three perfect innings and struck out six of the nine batters she faced.

Offensively, all eligible players for Calhoun either picked up a hit or scored in the game.
