Three people remain in jail after being caught allegedly stealing copper from a home on Liberty Road.

According to the Sheriff's Office:

Deputies arrived just after noon to a private residence on Liberty Road and apprehended an Adairsville man inside the vacant home.

The man, Matthew Thomas Dotson, 28, was spotted by deputies allegedly holding a pair of wire cutters and copper wire in his hands when he was arrested.

Two Adairsville women, Karen Doreen Cook, 47, and Misty Dawn Patterson, 33, were also arrested at the scene.

The Sheriff's Office also found more cooper wire in a pickup truck that was at the scene.

Dotson was charged with Burglary and Possession of Tools for the Commission of a Crime. Cook and Patterson were both charged with Party to the Crime of Burglary.

All three remain in the Gordon County Jail.

Detective Maz and all the Gordon County sherrifs office do not play they caught the father and son team that burglarized our home hats off to them the last month has been realy busy for them they need a raise ive never seen a more professional group of people
