Sex trafficking hotline focus of poster contest

ATLANTA (AP) — The Georgia Department of Education is asking high schoolers to submit art work for a statewide poster contest promoting a national hotline for reporting human sex trafficking.

The posters should focus on the national hotline, presented in a creative way that would grab the attention of students and teachers. The hotline phone number is 1-888-373-7888.

Submissions will be judged by a panel of state officials, who will choose two winners 16 regions, one for an English poster and one for a Spanish poster. Regional winners will receive a cash prize of $100 for first place, $50 for second place, and $25 for third place.

Regional winners will be notified by May 1. Two state winners for each language will be announced in December. The winners will each receive $250.
