Staff members will record exclusive footage from interviews, which will be edited and then broadcast into short, informative podcasts. Each will be available on our Web site and through iTunes.
“These are less intimidating than videos you have to download and you can keep (store) these on your iPod,” said Senn.
The first podcast will feature Calhoun High School Yellow Jackets football kicker Adam Griffith. “We are working on getting them interfaced so you can load them directly onto your iPod from iTunes,” added Senn.
As newspapers progress into the information age, the reader benefits. “The diversity of options we have to offer solidifies newspapers as the world’s most valuable news source,” stated Calhoun Times General Manager Elizabeth Crumbly.

“I think the CalCast endeavor will allow us to connect to our readers in a unique way, and bring a different facet to the subject matter,” said Crumbly. “I don’t want to give it away, but I have a few sparkling podcast candidates in mind.”
