The Amphibious Responder is a cross between a boat and a truck and can serve as everything from a fire engine to a search and rescue boat to an environmental response vehicle.
It's built by a company called CAMI that operates out of a plant off Interstate 95 in Ridgeland.
The government of Thailand has ordered 20 of the vehicles and the first is being shipped this week.
Company founder John Giljam says they have had dozens of inquires about the vehicle from governments in the U.S. Northeast as well in the wake of Superstorm Sandy.
