A Resaca woman is currently being treated in Gordon Hospital for injuries she received during a Thursday morning accident.

Amelia Cunningham, 41, was traveling north on highway 41 when she left the roadway and struck a water box in front of the Gordon County Sheriff’s Department.

The collision caused an estimated $30,000 in damages to the sheriff’s department’s water system leading into the jail.

Cunningham is being charged with driving under the influence, failure to maintain lane, and driving without insurance.
