Calhoun senior quarterback Taylor Lamb, seen here during a game this past season, was recently named to the MaxPreps 2012 Small Schools All-American Football Team Second Team Offense.

The MaxPreps Small Schools All-American Team consists of players chosen from schools that play in state enrollment divisions that generally have less than 1,000 students.

This is just the latest honor for Lamb, who has been named Gatorade Georgia Player of the Year, Rome News-Tribune Co-Offensive Player of the Year, Calhoun Times All-County Offensive Player of the Year and AJC and AP First-Team All-State in the past couple months.

The South Alabama commit just completed his final season for the Jackets where he threw for 3,499 yards and 36 touchdowns and also ran for 417 yards and 12 touchdowns while helping lead Calhoun to their 12th straight region title and fifth straight appearance in the Class AA State Championship Game at the Georgia Dome.

Congrats to Taylor, he's a good kid and a great QB.

57, tacky dude but if that is what you want to be known for -- you got it.
