Plainville community and Southwestern portion of Gordon County under severe thunderstorm warnings

Southwestern parts of Gordon County, including Plainville, have been issued a severe thunderstorm warning until 8:15 p.m. according to the National Weather Service.

The storm is likely to produce damaging, 60 mph winds and quarter sized hail. The storm was located near Adairsville, and moving West.

The storm may also produce heavy downpour and may create dangerous road conditions rapidly.

The National Weather Service recommends precautionary/preparedness actions.
