Pedestrian hit at intersection of Hwy 225 and Hwy 41

Update: According to the Georgia State Patrol, pedestrian, Amanda Suzanne Hudson, 18, of Athens, Tenn., was walking east from a store parking lot and walked into the path of an oncoming 2005 Ford Ranger at around 10:50 a.m.

The driver of the Ranger, Shon Ashley Evans, 21, of Adairsville, could not stop in time before hitting Hudson. She was airlifted to Erlanger with a head injury. No charges have been filed, according to GSP.

According to the Gordon County Sheriff's Office, a pedestrian was struck at the intersection of Hwy 225 and Hwy 41 in Calhoun, in the late morning hours.

According to Georgia State Patrol the pedestrian is at Erlanger in Chattanooga.
