North Georgia enters the game as a slight favorite with a 7-2 record. The Extreme, a very dangerous team, enters at 6-3.
Last year the Extreme knocked the Bulldogs out of the second round of the playoffs.
“We have been waiting on this game to come around every since then,” said North Georgia owner Kacee Smith.
The Extreme are on a three game winning streak winning streak. They have been hot since losing two games in the first three weeks of the season.
One reason that could contribute to the teams better play down the stretch is the arrival of two former lineman that have come back to join them since playing pro ball over seas.
"We got to hold down our emotions and play our kind of football and we will be just fine,” said Smith. “We know a few things that have been hurting us in the past few weeks and we have plans to correct it."
If the Bulldogs can pull out the victory the team will have a bye week in the first round of the playoffs followed by a home field playoff game.
"Getting that first round bye places us closer to the championship game and will give us a game at home,” said Smith. “We have been on the road a lot lately and are ready to kick off again back home in Calhoun."
As of deadline, the time of the game had not been set but the location will most likely be in Stockbridge. More info can be found at NorthGeorgiaBulldogs.com.
