Elizabeth Maria Schmit, of Adairsville, and Jacob Patrick Kelsoe, of Calhoun, announce their re-cent engagement and forthcoming marriage.

The future bride is the daughter of Glenn and Miss Schmit of Adairsville. She graduated from the University of West Georgia and from Gordon Central High School.

She is the sister of Matthew Schmit of Calhoun and the granddaughter of Mary and the late Ken Schmit of Claremont, Calif., and Max and Teri Thomas of Calhoun.

The future groom is the son of Tommy and Lydia Kelsoe of Calhoun. He graduated from Gordon Central High School and Southern Polytechnic State University. The groom is employed by Teton Industrial Construction.

He is the brother of Caty Goss, married to Josh, of Calhoun, Lee Kelsoe and Phil Kelsoe both of Calhoun. He is the grandson of Pat and Lillian Baker of Calhoun, Nathan and the late Vera Holliday and the late Otis Kelsoe all of Calhoun.

The wedding will be Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Trinity Baptist Church at 1 p.m. The couple plan to reside in San Antonio, Texas.
