Mr. and Mrs. Sammy Breeden of Rome announce the engagement of their daughter Dana Nicole Breeden to Benjamin Mason Strickland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Strickland of Rockmart.

Miss Breeden is a 1996 honor graduate of Rome High School and a 1999 graduate of the University of Georgia with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Criminal Justice and Psychology. She is a vocalist and drummer for The Dove Quartet and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Miss Breeden is employed as a Deputy Investigator with the District Attorney’s Office of the Cherokee Judicial Circuit.

The bride-elect is the sister of Venetia Smith of Rome. She is the granddaughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. J.S. Breeden and the late Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Sims, all of Rome.

Strickland is a 1999 graduate of Rockmart High School. He is employed as a Wireless Sales and Data Specialist with AT&T Mobility in Rome.

The groom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Strickland of Kingston and the late Mr. and Mrs. Homer Mason of Aragon.

The private wedding ceremony is planned for October 24, 2009, in Adairsville.
