Mr. and Mrs. William Barry Evans of Ranger announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Ashley Faith Evans to Dustin William Bruce, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Vernon Bruce of Calhoun.

The future bride is the granddaughter of Mr. Cecil Pack of Ranger and the late Mrs. Bessie Pack, Mrs. Jean Evans and the late Mr. Arthur (Bill) Evans. She is the sister of Selena Evans Garland and her husband, Monty Garland, of Plainville; Adam Evans of Ranger; and twin sister, Kirbie Evans of Ranger. She is the aunt of Blake, Brett, and Eian Garland of Plainville.

The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of the School of Tomorrow Accelerated Christian Education program and is currently employed by Curl Up and Dye hair salon in Oakman.

The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jake and Irene Seidler of Seattle, Wash., Mr. and Mrs. Floyd and Jessie Mae Harris of Dallas. He is a 2006 graduate of Gordon Central High School and is currently serving in the United States Army with the 82nd Airborne. After a year deployment to Afghanistan, he is now stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C.

The wedding will be at Concord Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010 at 4 p.m. A reception will follow in the church dining hall. Formal invitations have been sent, but all friends and family are invited.
