Police say when a Calhoun Road man grew angry at his 8-year-old son for breaking a jar, he threw a stick at the boy but hit his 2-year-old daughter, injuring her face, reports state.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Fenando Javier Flores, 33, of 3344 Calhoun Road, is charged with felony aggravated assault and cruelty to children and was released from the Floyd County Jail on Wednesday.

Police say the stick Flores threw Tuesday wounded the child’s face, causing her “excessive pain.”
