Cody Mitchell
According to the Gordon County Sheriff's Office:
Cody Nelson Mitchell, 28, of Ellijay, is charged with 42 counts of cruelty to animals and one count of theft by taking.
Mitchell is accused of harming 30 dogs and 12 horses. One of the dogs allegedly died during the time he was taking care of them.
He was arrested Thanksgiving day and remains in the Gordon County Jail pending a $20,000 bond.
