Former Calhoun standout Jordan Poole, who spent this past season at Chipola College in Florida, was also drafted on Tuesday by the Washington Nationals with the 444th pick in the 14th round.
McAdams-Schubert just completed his senior season at for coach Chip Henderson and the Calhoun Yellow Jackets, hitting .447 with six home runs, nine doubles and three triples while also playing stellar defense in center field. He saw time on the mound as well, going 6-1 with a 2.68 ERA as he helped the Jackets to the Class AA third round.
Poole just completed his sophomore season at Chipola and batted .329 with seven home runs, 15 doubles and 38 RBIs.
McAdams-Schubert signed a scholarship to play baseball at High Point University in High Point, N.C. recently, so he will have the decision to sign with the Indians or play college baseball. If he chooses to play at High Point, he will not be eligible again for the MLB Draft until after his junior season.
