Victoria Lee was recently named Gordon County Farm Bureau’s first place winner and Paula DeVane was named second place winner of the Georgia Farm Bureau Federation’s High School Art Contest. Both are students at Gordon Central High School, and received cash prizes from Gordon County Farm Bureau for being the top winners.

The contest was open to students in Georgia, grades nine through 12, for the 2009-2010 academic year. The drawings were judged on artistic merit and how well the artwork represented modern agriculture found in the student’s county or Georgia’s agriculture industry. Victoria is the daughter of Andrew and Ginger Lee, Paula is the daughter of Carolyn DeVane. The Georgia Farm Bureau’s Women’s committee coordinated the statewide contest. Locally, the Gordon County Farm Bureau coordinated the contest.

“We are very proud of Victoria and Paula’s accomplishments,” said Ann Payne, Gordon County Farm Bureau women’s committee chair.
