Kolbelco was awarded Gold Level status in “Making A Difference” for 2011. Making A Difference is a program designed by Cellulose Solutions, based in Adairsville, to facilitate a company’s effort to recycle their wood waste and ensure that the wood is being used for higher purposes.

Kobelco’s policy of reducing waste and increase recycling has fostered their reputation of being a company that believes in preserving the environment. For 2011, Kobelco recycled 1,848 tons of waste wood.
