Friday, July 13, 2012 was a fun-filled day for the Jacket Jamboree and all of the participants. There were various games for age group ranging from Pre-K up to middle school. Activities included a clothing relay, soccer relay, and tricycle relay; freeze tag, Indiana Jones games, water balloon toss and a water station courtesy of the Calhoun City Fire Department.

Lunch was provided for the 80+ children and Dairy Queen provided complimentary dessert for all of those that attended the event.

The Jacket Jamboree would like to invite as many children as possible to attend the next Olympic day on August 3, rewarding them with a break from the summertime blues.

Breakfast will be served at 8 a.m. and games will begin at 9 a.m. and last until 3:45 p.m. For more information on the Jacket Jamboree program or the upcoming Olympics, call 706-629-6788.
