POWDER SPRINGS (AP) — The killing of a teenager in what police say started as an argument over loud music has prompted hundreds of people to rally around the slain teen's family in Georgia.

WXIA-TV reports (http://on.11alive.com/VkGFWO ) that hundreds of mourners gathered in Powder Springs outside Atlanta for the funeral of 17-year-old Jordan Davis. He was fatally shot Nov. 23 at a gas station in Jacksonville, Fla.

Police say 45-year-old Michael David Dunn shot Davis as he sat in an SUV. Dunn told police he felt threatened.

Davis' friend Samantha Williams, who was one of Davis' high school classmates, attended his funeral Saturday. She says she last spoke to him on Thanksgiving and will miss him greatly.
