For the eighth year, Soldier’s Angels of Georgia has prepared stocking gift bags full of goodies to send to more than 5,000 Georgia-based deployed soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The “stockings” were gift bags full of both useful and comforting items for a soldier in the desert environment of the war zone, such as a new pair of socks, holiday candy, hot chocolate, cookies, lip balm, music CD, gloves, pocket comb, toothbrush, signed holiday cards from the public and other items.

Calhoun ESA chapter Delta Nu and Elan chapter Sigma Phi partnered with other ESA chapters in Georgia in this event by helping to supply candy and over 1,500 pairs of socks.

Epsilon Sigma Alpha is a philanthropic organization actively involved in community service. This years bags have been packed, shipped and received. Soon, Project 2013 will begin. Soldiers Angels motto is May no soldier go unloved. May no soldier walk alone. May no soldier be forgotten. Until they all come home.
