All three schools were awarded $3,000 each for attaining this award. Though the Title I announcements were made in October, the monetary reward was only recently announced.
The funds are part of the Title I allocation provided to states from the U.S. Department of Education each year. These schools can use the funds to purchase additional materials for reading, math, social studies, and science instruction.
A “High-Progress Reward School” is a Title I school among the 10% of Title I schools in the State that is making the most progress in improving the performance of the “all students” group over three years on the statewide assessments.
