Gordon County Schools offer driver education this summer

Driver’s education classes will be offered by the Gordon County Schools Driver Education Program to all students during the summer. The GCS Driver’s Education Program is certified by the Georgia Department of Driver Services and includes 30 hours of classroom and 6 hours of behind the wheel instruction.

The cost of the class is $250. Applications can be found online at the school system web site (www.gcbe.org).

Applications and payment can be returned to the system transportation department at 1300 Dews Pond Road. Calhoun, Ga.

Current Class Schedule: Gordon Central – May 21 to May 25 – 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (30 minute lunch break from 11:30 a.m. to noon) and Sonoraville High School – May 28 to June 1 – 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (30 minute lunch break from 11:30 a.m. to noon).
