Roads are open on Plainville Road at County Line Road, according to Georgia State Patrol.
The gas leak occurred after a tractor trailer attempted to turn right off of County Line Rd. onto Plainville Road SW, today at approximately 11 a.m.
The tractor trailer was towed away, and no injuries were reported.
A spokesperson for the Dalton Utilities gas line, Lori McDaniel, stated the area that experienced the collision was a "loop feed," allowing crews to isolate the damaged line.
Customers in the area experienced no loss of gas services, according to McDaniel.
Plainville Road closed off at this time due to a gas leak.
The leak is due to a single car accident, but there were no injuries obtained, according to the Gordon County Fire Department’s Chief Sutton.
Chief Sutton said there are two stations, Station One and Plainville Station Three, on the scene at the moment along with the Gas Company.
Updates will continue to follow as new information comes in.
