For the second year, the GEM is partnering with local high schools to host holiday chorus concerts followed by free classic Christmas movies, including: December 2 – Georgia Cumberland Academy and Jingle All The Way, December 9 - Gordon Central High and Holiday Inn and December 16 - Sonoraville High and It’s A Wonderful Life. All concerts will begin at 2 p.m. and admission is $10. The free movies will start at 3 p.m.

Monday, December 3 at 7 p.m. is the acclaimed Annie Moses Band Christmas Concert sponsored by Chick-fil-A. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students.

December 8 at 8 p.m. local favorites, The Van Lears, will take the GEM stage. Tickets are $15 and $10.

Thursday, December 20 and Friday, December 21 at 7:30 p.m. get ready to laugh as The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society’s Production of “A Christmas Carol” Presented by A.R.T. comes to Calhoun. Tickets are $10.

Saturday, December 22 at 7:30 p.m. enjoy an Appalachian Christmas featuring The Georgia Crackers, The Little Country Giants and The Groundhawgs. Tickets are $15.

The fun continues after Christmas with Downtown Calhoun’s Classic Movie Mania! See these movies on the GEM’s big screen - $3 per movie and $5 for the January 2 double feature. December 26 at 7 p.m. - The Sound of Music; December 27 at 2 p.m. - Singing In The Rain and 7 p.m. - Forrest Gump; December 28 at 2 p.m. - Grease and 7 p.m. - Smokey and The Bandit; December 29 at 11 a.m. - Kung Fu Panda, 3 p.m. - E.T., and 8 p.m. - Saturday Night Fever; December 30 at 2 p.m. - Dirty Dancing; January 2 at 6:30 p.m. - Footloose followed by Beatlejuice
