Stephen Freeman will conclude the tribute to Elvis week at a concert on Friday, August 25, hosted by the GEM and Downtown Calhoun.
Festivities will include classic Elvis movies on the GEM’s big screen on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and a concert on Saturday, August 25 at 8 p.m. starring award winning Elvis tribute artist Stephen Freeman and the Echos of a Legend Show Band.
Vote for your favorite Elvis movie. The four Elvis movies that receive the most votes will be shown on the GEM’s big screen. Place your vote by August 10 on the Friends of Calhoun’s GEM Theatre Facebook page or call (706) 625-3132. The winners and schedule will be announced August 13.
Stephen Freeman is one of the most recognized and well-known Elvis tribute artists in the country. He has opened for Charlie Daniels, performed on the official Elvis Cruise, won the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino, been a finalist in the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest in Memphis the past two years, been recognized by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. as the Elvis Tribute Artist Fan Vote Poll Winner, and named 2011 Tribute Artist of the Year by the CMA’s in Charlotte, N.C.
