Foster, Campbell compete in district spelling bee

Tanner Foster placed fifth out of 13 students at the District One spelling bee contest on Feb. 27 in Rome. Foster is a Calhoun Middle School student and won the 2010 Calhoun City system wide Spelling Bee title. The District contest, sponsored by Georgia Association of Educators, was held at the Floyd County Board of Education office, 600 Riverside Parkway in Rome, on Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. It featured fourth through eighth grade students only.

Heaven Campbell placed 11th out of 13 students at the District One spelling bee contest on Feb. 27 in Rome. Campbell is a fifth-grader at Tolbert Elementary School student and won the 2010 Gordon County system wide Spelling Bee title.
