Fallen officer, Kathy Cox honored

Gordon County Deputy Sheriff Kathy Cox was posthumously honored recently at the American Police Hall of Fame near Cape Canaveral, Fla. A photo of Officer Cox was placed under a plaque bearing her name and agency. Her name is among those of 17,000 American Law Enforcement Officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice performing their duties. Cox, was killed at age 50 on Aug. 21, 2008 in a patrol vehicle crash on Highway 136.
